'Big Green Scream' highlights basketball weekend

The Big Green Scream returned to Skidmore Saturday, Feb. 10 with the men's and women's basketball teams hosting the Rochester Institute of Technology in the Williamson Sports Center. The event featured a women's game followed by a men's game, each cheered on by hundreds of students, family members, community fans and more.

The women's team saw a sweet victory in their first overtime game of the season. They defeated RIT by 70-64, jumping into first place in the Liberty League standings. Before the contest, Skidmore honored its four seniors: guards Ari Fustini '18 and Veronica Moceri '18, and forwards Kelly Donnelly '18 and Caite Opfer '18.

Despite a game-high 26 points from Edvinas Rupkus '19, the men's team fell to RIT by 69-61. Before the contest, the Thoroughbreds honored its four seniors: guards Benny Louchheim '18 and Jack Morrow '18 , and forwards Martin Bedulskij '18 and Marcus Jackson '18.
